Ryan Ketterman’s Favorite Landscape

Jun 26, 2015

Editorial and commercial photographer Ryan Ketterman’s amazing photograph of the Jacksonville Port was recently re-posted on the artist’s professional Facebook page, as it stands out as one of his all time favorite landscape-shots.

During a major cold snap that occurred in Jacksonville last November, Ryan climbed up onto one of the cranes by the port to get the best view possible. The cold weather had made the skies almost entirely free from clouds, making downtown Jacksonville and its bridges appear with a clarity rarely seen during the rest of the year.

Though the temperature and harsh winds would have Ryan altering his time between shooting and seeking shelter in the somewhat warmer engine room, the end result seem to have made it all worth it: “The light, the reflections, the subject matter, the color... all of the elements come together in this and make me very happy.”
