Not long ago, Alexei Vella produced an illustration for The Globe and Mail that was supposed to be published along with an article about Pez-dispensers based on 20th century US presidents (link to full article below). The piece had Alexei focus specifically on simplified portraiture, as he wanted to incorporate 10 American presidents all in one illustration. Unfortunately, due to a mix-up, the article was released earlier than expected and the piece was never published. Nonetheless, Alexei is proud of it (as he should be) and it will more than likely draw some attention to his beautiful portfolio.
