Artist Message

 

Charla Pettingill was born and raised in East Tennessee. She studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, where she graduated Magna cum Laude with her B.F.A. in Communication Arts in 2008. She earned her M.A. at SCAD in 2009. She now lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia.

Charla is an internationally-published freelance illustrator working in a combination of ink, watercolor, and digital media. Her artwork is recognizable as elegant, lively, and colorful in appearance. She is currently available for freelance illustration projects.

When she isn't illustrating, Charla enjoys working in her sketchbook, making jewelry, and painting. She is currently working on a series of greetings cards as well as several book concepts.
