Artist Message
Charla Pettingill was born and raised in East Tennessee. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, where she earned her B.F.A. and M.A. in Illustration. Charla is now an internationally-published freelance illustrator working in ink and watercolor as well as digital media. Her artwork is recognizable as elegant, feminine, whimsical, and colorful in appearance. She is currently available for freelance illustration work. Charla currently resides outside of Atlanta, Georgia with her husband. When she isn't illustrating, Charla enjoys collecting vintage frames, visiting the beach, making jewelry, and sketching.
