Recently, illustrator Catherine Huerta was commissioned to paint a portrait of French author Jean Michel Vernochet and his family of five. The result is the wonderful painting below, which depicts Jean and his family, sitting in the garden of their country house, which also happens to be located in Catherine’s current home village, Rouvres sur Aube, in France. The title of the painting is dedicated to one family-member in particular, “Le Chaton Bleu” (“The Blue Kitten”).
