Struggling with food sensitivity herself, Lisa Predko was happy to share her latest project for Chicago Magazine, where she got to photograph food allergist Dr. Ruchi Gupta of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital. The shoot was made for a recent interview with Gupta that talks about her groundbreaking study of adult-onset food allergies.
The idea for the background of the portrait came from Lisa after watching Gupta’s recent music video on the subject (linked below). “I knew we were going to be able to create something fun and I couldn’t wait to meet her”, said Lisa, who also made sure to thank her associates for making the idea of the giant peanut wall come to life, as well as the cooked up red snapper.
