Alexei Vella celebrated the famous writer’s 128th birthday recently with a portrait that captures the spirit of a man that might have often come off as “eerie, wrong and unnerving — eldritch even?” (as described by Vella). As awkward as he might have come off in person though, there’s no denying the legacy Lovecraft left behind within the horror genre.
