Kristofer Dan-Bergman Shows the Meaning of Being Prepared

Aug 24, 2021

What’s that old scout motto? That’s right: “Be prepared”. Well, scout or not, NYC-photographer Kristoffer Dan-Bergman has reaped great benefits by that motto, always having his camera (or camera app) on the ready, should the right moment suddenly present itself. One of those fleeting moments just happened to appear recently in the middle of Grand Central Station, as this wonderful new photo shows. Kristofer explains:

“I walked into Grand Central Station because I was going to take a train to Tarrytown. I was a little late and half running to see what track my train was on. When I entered the big hall I saw this ballerina like it was a dream. I quickly fumbled for my phone because I know from experience that these moments can be gone in a flash. Luckily I always make sure my camera app is open on the phone. I took 3-4 photos quickly as I was approaching her. There was no camera crew or anything around her and nobody really was watching her, it confused me. Then a man walked towards her and they walked away together. I assume it was her dad or something like that.”
