Sarah Hanson has won this years AOI Images Gold Critics Award for her Cover illustration of On The Road by Jack Kerouac, commissioned by Penguin Readers.
This Years critic, renowned author Barry Miles selected Sarah's illustration out of over 400.
He said he felt that the treatment of the image was very authentic and that "Through a mix-media collage, she has respected the picture plane which enables her to lead the eye to the centre of the picture, to a distant point, miles away, as if going on a journey"
