WIRED magazine recently featured Japanese-born illustrator Takahisa Hashimoto’s artwork for their special feature on the “Future of Money”. Though the end-result, depicting different species of animals within complex patterns, is a visual treat, Hashimoto initially had his doubts when first receiving the assignment:
“By reading the article, I had an impression that the environment surrounding money in the next generation will be more primitive due to advancement of technology. Very interesting. Though I had no clue how WIRED, a technology focused magazine, and my illustrations would work but I am so grateful for the editors' brave decision to make this happen.”
