Robert Wilson Photographs Sailors In Practice For America’s Cup World Series

[ Posted: Jul 24, 2015 ]

Robert J Wilson recently got to spend some time in the Solent (outside the mainland of England) on board a 45 ft wing-sailed, foiling catamaran with Sir Ben Ainslie, as he and his crew (“Land Rover BAR”) was training for the America’s Cup World Series. Robert, who supposedly is a keen sailor himself, said that it was a thrilling job to photograph the crew during their practice and wishes them good luck in the main competition.

The America’s Cup World Series, which is this year hosted by Portsmouth, starts July 23rd and ends on July 26th. This is just the first stage of the competition though, as the America’s Cup Finals will be held in Bermuda in 2017.
