Dan Bejar was happy and excited to share his first-ever portrait on a magazine cover, this time portraying Senator Bernie Sanders for Harper’s Magazine’s May issue.
The cover story, titled “How The Anti-Populists Stopped Bernie Sanders”, was written by Thomas Frank and talks about the origins of The People’s Party and “populists” in the 1890’s and the long-time demonization of “populism and populists” as being a “threat to democracy” by elites and media alike.
