Did you know that women serving time in prison, compared to their male counterparts, have fewer educational opportunities, fewer choices, and more delays in the way of college degrees?
This issue was brought up recently in an article in the Chronicle of Higher Education, which states that it took former inmate Alexa Garza the better part of her 20-year sentence to complete a bachelor’s degree in business administration. The brilliant illustration accompanying the story was made by Altpick member Davide Bonazzi.
