If you’ve been checking out Reader’s Digest lately, you may have come across several of Richard Borge’s fantastic new illustrations. The ones seen here below were made for a large series earlier this summer which covered the origin and wonder of familiar words. For example, did you know that the word “laser” is an acronym? Or that the word “ambulance” came from “walking hospitals” during the time of the Napoleonic Wars? Last but not least, Adidas is an acronym for "All Day I Dream About Sport"!
