Photographer and Altpick member, Greg Clark, recently shared some great photos taken a few years back (2021) at Champlain Towers South in Surfside, LF. On June 24, the 12-floor condominium partially collapsed at a sudden notice, resulting in mass casualties. Greg went to the site shortly after to document the fantastic rescue work that followed. “It was one of those boiling Miami days”, said Greg, “so my time by the site was limited to avoid needing rescue myself.” The people who had shown up to help included everyone from experienced rescue crews and police to cooks, psychologists and more, some of whom can be seen here below.
