Artist Janice Fried works mainly in mixed media but most recently has applied her skills to fabric collage incorporating bits of fabric and paint. Her latest piece is titled "Ataraxia" from the Modern Latin/Greek word meaning calmness. In Fried's piece, the subject is in a meditated state of serenity levitated above all the noise.
