The Artists’ Grief Deck is a collection of 58 4” x 6” cards, each one containing original artwork commissioned from artists around the world, developed to provide support for communal grieving processes when gathering may be limited.
The opposite side of each card contains a text-based ‘grieving prompt’ - a simple memorial action or instruction developed to aid the grieving person in their journey through loss. The Grief Deck was co-developed with the NYC Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster and the National Hospice Cooperative. The deck is also sight-impaired accessible through a scannable QR code on each card which connects to a fully accessible page at www.griefdeck.com (link below).
