With a solid lifelong love of music in a town ripe with talented musicians, Jason Dailey set out to capture the culture and vast diversity of the Lawrence music scene. This talented group of musicians represent all styles of music and come from very different backgrounds. "I found hip-hop musicians who also play in indie rock bands, folk song writers that play as session musicians across the U.S., rappers working with labels in Chicago to find new talent and garage band elite." Dailey continues to say, "I avoided the typical stage shot. I wanted to capture people in the places that inspire them to create, where their muse speaks to them, where the poetry and notes comfortably let themselves in."
