Last month on assignment Photographer Jason Dailey connected with Native American & native bad-ass Marcus Oliveira, a boxer living the dream in Kansas. "I’m not aware of too many notable fighters in the area, not surprising since I don’t follow the circuit," says Dailey.
Dailey continues to say, "Marcus and his trainer, Erik, were great to work with and totally accomodating. Don King, the man that makes the sport outside the ring as interesting as inside, gave the native heartland some love by signing Marcus".
"It’s great to see a classic sport continue after such a beat down from MMA, I’d personally rather see a good boxing match. It was electric meeting Marcus and Erik for an afternoon of boxing and photography. I look forward to his career and spending more time with them. Outside the ring of course."
