A punishing season without wins, old equipment, and an even more ancient scoreboard; Somerset Academy Charter School’s football team, the Lions, has seen some rough times. However, despite their struggles, their spirit is held high and this is what shows in Altpick member George Kamper’s magnificent new photos. In an effort to help the team and give back to his community, he worked with creative Soren Thielman to create a calendar that aim to raise funding and hopefully help them update both their gear and their field. “These aren’t just photos”, says Kamper, “they tell the story of a team and their coaches pushing through challenges."
