During the first week of the pandemic in March 2020, photographer Kevin Steele was beginning his "Life.OnPause" series in LA. Photographing an actress in her Hollywood home he also met Lance, a musician, who had just stopped his tour and was laying over in LA.
After the black and white shoot, Lance brought his keyboard to the rooftop and jammed. It was a special treat for neighboring balconies that joined in the concert.
As Kevin says, "Who knew the future. From denial to anger...now acceptance." Last week he caught up with Lance, playing at the classic Broken Spoke in Austin, Texas.
