Kremmerz Creates Illustrations for New Manchester Workspace

Nov 27, 2023

After years of wearing masks and social distancing from one another, we no longer view being around each other as something to be taken for granted. That’s why (to us, at least) it’s extra heartwarming to see Klaus Kremmerz’s glorious new illustrations of people working and having a good time in a relaxed environment - together!

These artworks were created for a new campaign by HBD (Henry Boot Group Design), promoting their upcoming 100,000 sq ft Net Zero Carbon workspace in Manchester, called “Island”. On their website, HBD describes their decision to hire Klaus as such:

“Shunning the computer-generated image more commonly found on developments like these, HBD has instead collaborated with artist Klaus Kremmerz whose hand-drawn illustrations are helping prospective occupiers visualize their future here. These images have shaped the Island’s identity, separated it from the mainstream workspaces offered in the city, and helped to humanize the Island.”

Side note: We’d love to get our hands on the shirt recently shared by Klaus, who is also donning his lovely workspace illustration!
