Mark Peterman Part of “Interactive Installation” In Munich

Aug 15, 2023

Earlier this summer, photographer Mark Peterman was part of an interactive installation titled “Past and Present” by Der Greif at Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Germany. The event at the modern art museum was created to celebrate the organization (Der Greif) and magazine’s 15th anniversary. Mark explains the process of the “interactive” part of the installation as such:

“Photographic works in print form were provided to event participants. Visitors then selected which images to put up in the final display and re-arrange the display as they see fit, utilizing works from accepted artists in conjunction with work from the Der Greif archive. This was more of a performance installation, and less like a traditional ‘exhibition’.”

Mark’s own piece, “The Stairs to the Attic” (part of his Constructed Realities series), had been pre-selected from an open call of submissions to international artists.

Congratulations, Mark, from all of us here at Altpick!
