The opioid epidemic is undoubtedly a tragic fact in US society, but the way addiction starts will vary from person to person. For “Marcus”, a sudden knee injury that set back a promising wrestling career and required prescription pain medication was the start of his inevitable dependency on opioids. After traveling on a downward spiral for fifteen years, Marcus is now finally able to change his destructive habits through the use of counseling and medication-assisted treatment, along with the support of his family and friends.
The story was recently covered by Indivior (a pharmaceutical company), who asked Altpick member Marc Morrison to do a shoot with Marcus for the cover art. The results are just as professional and captivating as we’ve come to expect!
