“Untitled #1 (Broken Wing)” is a brand-new (2024) work of art made by Andrea Donadio and Altpick member, Lisa Predko. Inspired by the 1612 artwork “Bouquet of Flowers” by Flemish master Clara Peeters, Lisa and Andrea explore themes of “fragility, death, and loss of innocence”. The piece, which is a digital photograph of a sculpture made of dye, wire, crepe paper, ribbon, and much more, is only the first in an upcoming series.
In sharing the artwork, Lisa also provided us with a few “making-of” photos, as well as the original inspiration.
