There’s little denying that gangsters (see: organized crime) have a history of influencing the White House in some way or another during the past century. Eric Dezenhall’s new book, titled “Wiseguys And the White House”, is what is referred to as a “connected” account of the Mob’s influence and dealings with various Commander in Chiefs which aims to answer the question of just how much the criminal underworld can affect presidential power.
