There’s something special about the “SteamPunk” genre. For those unfamiliar, it presents a mix between “retrofuturistic” technology and aesthetics from centuries past. Think of the writings by Jules Verne, movies like “Castle In the Sky” or “Wild Wild West” or video games like “Final Fantasy VII”. It’s also seen in the arts. A recent example would be the appropriately titled “SteamPunk” piece by our very own member, Lisa Powers. The model who is seen in the picture is Erin Everly, who was photographed in Lisa’s studio with an Asahi Pentax 6x7 camera on Plus-X 220 film. The photo was then scanned with a Hasselblad Imacon Flextight Photo scanner and edited using Adobe Photoshop.
