Illustrator and fine artist Andreas von Buddenbrock, a.k.a. “The Ink Trail”, was one of five artists who were asked to paint the annual heart sculptures down by the Victoria Bay harbor in Hong Kong. Using paint and acrylic pens, Andreas found a way to transfer his distinctive black-and-white ink drawing style onto the assigned sculpture. However, as sometimes seen in his work, he also made use of red as an accent color to really make his artwork “pop”. The final result, as seen in the photos below, is a take on some of Hong Kong’s abandoned and overgrown buildings (with an incorporated bit of mystery) which can now be seen at the brand-new Carnival Grounds next to Hong Kong’s iconic AIA Observation Wheel.
