The Sun Never Sets in Jason Hill's Phoenix

Oct 03, 2008

"In Jason Hill's Phoenix, the sun never sets. His paintings of the city – a vibrant Valley National Bank framed by a glowing sky; a dazzling Financial Center with a jet jauntily speeding past - are thousand-watt, high-color beacons that send the same, simple, not-so-subliminal message: Phoenix is cool..." This was the opening line of a Phoenix New Times cover story last week titled "Has Phoenix Finally Arrived? Feel the Love"... It profiles a bunch local personalities that work toward creating a more modern Phoenix city image and lifestyle. To read more, click on link below.

Jason has also been awarded "Best Etsy Shope" by Phoenix New Times this year. Congratulations Jason!

Jason is also happy to report that the 'opening soon' television commercial that he recently designed & illustrated for the Valley Metro Light Rail is now online! And keep your eyes peeled for the print campaign featuring Jason's illustrations of valley cityscapes. Posters of the ad were also on display throughout ASU's Sun Devil stadium this summer.

Modern London printing company Moo has chosen all five of Jason's sticker design submissions for their new laptop stickerbook...

Finally, Please join Jason on the First Friday November 7th at Royal Coffee Bar for Royal Kicks for Kids! The show will feature artwork on PF Flyers tennis shoes by 12 different artists, including myself. Participate in a silent auction with all proceeds going to Homebase Youth Services. Royal Coffee Bar is located at 209 W. Jackson in downtown Phoenix.
