Artist Message
California photographer Jay Watson specializes in lifestyle and environmental portraits of people on location. His work involves shooting for editorial, advertising, clothing/fashion, music, entertainment, industrial, and corporate clients. Elemental Magazine once wrote "he shoots the crazy sh*t" and an early issue of Garage Magazine said "Jay came to California to raise free range artichokes." Some of these things are true. Since 2004 Jay has been a featured pro photographer at Lexar Media and has written several tutorials on digital photography for their website. Originally from Baltimore, MD, he has been based out of San Francisco since 1999. Jay surfs, skates, and rides bikes when he is not working and he looks at a cup of coffee as an excuse to stay up late or to take a road trip.
