Wetter Takes On August Wilhelm Leu Landscape with A “Twist”

Oliver Wetter once again proves his mastery with the tablet as he reveals his latest piece, “Luna & Nova - 3 Swords”. The artwork was completely made using the new XP-Pen Artist 22 (2nd gen) Pen Display -- which is technically a monitor, as it needs to connect to a computer for power supply, but works just like a tablet.

For those who may find the image familiar, the original environment was indeed based on one of August Wilhelm Leu’s landscape paintings (ca 1880-1890), but have been completely repainted with a few “new elements” added to it. “Luna and her friends looked like they belonged in there as well”, said Oliver, “I just could not resist.” Oliver also made sure to share several images that showcase his working process.
