Houser Creates Art At High Noon

Apr 09, 2024

Whether you’re a working photographer or an amateur shutterbug, you most likely are familiar with what’s called “the golden hour”, i.e. that time of day after sunrise and before sunset which provides the “perfect light” and helps elevate imagery into something truly special. It’s a sign of true craftsmanship then, it seems, when a photographer can create something wonderful without the help of these particular moments in the day.

Like at mid-day, for example, when the sun is right above our heads! Altpick member Robert Houser recently showed how this is done with this masterful new photo, shot in an urban location (at noon) for clothing brand Title Nine.
