“Laocoön No. 3” by Tom Cocotos

Mar 09, 2023

Tom Cocotos keeps raising the bar when it comes to making illustrative collages, and we’re always eager to see what’s next!

His latest artwork, titled “Laocoön No. 3”, was based on an ancient Roman sculpture that portrays Laocoön, the Trojan priest. Being a skeptic of the Athenian's peace offering in the form of the famous wooden horse, Laocoön, and his sons were, according to myth, killed by the gods (who sent down deadly serpents) in response for trying to warn his fellow Trojans.

This excellent artwork is part of Tom’s “Ambiguity of Power” series.
