Illustrator Paul Tong is back with a number of great new portraits and portrait studies of sports icons! The paintings, made earlier in the summer (some still works-in-progress), show us familiar faces such as Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, Olympic athlete Vicki Draves, and professional basketball players, Wataru Misaka and Bill Russell.
Completed or not completed, “merely studies” or final portraits, Paul shows us his proficiency in creating a likeness, his sense for atmospheric lighting, and his ability to bring out the best in the Best!
