Artist Message
The Photo: I try not to bring too much that might alter the scene. Leaving it alone - letting it just happen can, at times, make the best photograph. This doesn't mean that I don't influence what's in front of the camera - it's just subtle. Sometimes less is more... Work Ethic: I'm very motivated by personal work. I love pushing myself. Reaching an impasse and taking it a step further - seeing differently, getting reactions. Style: I'm not interested in having something that looks set up, propped or fake - it just doesn't seem right to me. It's all about the reaction, the movement, the angle. It's the idea, the concept that counts. I'm an Embassy brat. Traveling around the world has kept things somewhat real for me. As my mother taught me, sometimes the simplest way is the best approach. I like to say "here's the photo, you be the judge". Influence: Believe it or not it's my two dogs. Always happy, never angry and very curious. Constantly trying to find new ways to do things. |
